| Introduction | We are a family of 6. My husband (Joel) and I (Alicia) are proud parents of 4 sons - Jacob(17), Nolan(13), Caleb(10), and Gavin(7). Gavin blessed our lives on September 15, 2006. He was born with Down syndrome and severe heart defects. This blog is a diary of our journey with Gavin. Although faced with many obstacles (months of hospitalizations, many surgeries, a massive stroke, a seizure disorder, pulmonary disease, and the likelihood that he will never sit up, walk or talk), we have been given a gift in Gavin! Our lives have been given a greater purpose, and have forever been changed! As we walk this road, we have been blessed by God's grace, and we are striving to trust in Him alone! |
