About me

Introduction	I am a graduate student currently working towards a PhD in biomedical engineering and robotics. I've been writing poetry since I was 12. I started writing soon after a traumatic experience, at the suggestion of my counselor at the time, as a way of exploring my feelings about what happened. I was in a very dark place for a long time, and I wrote some very dark stuff in those early years. Since then, writing has become a passion, and I've filled a large stack of journals (yes, paper!) with poems, stories, drawings, and random thoughts. More recently, I've found my way out of that dark place, with the help of some amazing people who came into my life right when I needed them. With their encouragement, I started this blog to share some of my journey with the world, and to see where this next chapter takes me.
