| Introduction | My name is Janet Kaplan and I teach Third Grade at Chabad Hebrew Academy. Prior to joining the CHA family, I taught First Grade for 10 years at Vancouver Talmud Torah in Vancouver, B.C. I have also taught in the upper grades but have found my passion in the lower grades. I am proud to have served as the Primary Department Head, following a two year term as the primary Lead Teacher at VTT, bringing experience in leadership to my craft as a classroom teacher. I am also the Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction at CHA. Among my various responsibilities in this role, I work closely with teachers at CHA to achieve consistency and vertical alignment with our respective curricula at CHA. I also have a hand in assessment, professional development and school wide goal setting, working closely with the principal to achieve these objectives.I am thrilled to be part of the CHA community for the 4th consecutive year and look forward to a year filled with learning and fun. |
