Kim Putnam

About me

Introduction Kim Putnam is a Contemporary artist and adjunct instructor at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. She has been teaching at the college since 2009. Putnam also leads workshops in printmaking and provides private art lessons in her home studio. When asked what medium does she work in, Putnam’s response is that it depends on what the work requires. Her first love is oil paint, however she has also worked in photography, printmaking, graphite, collage and more recently installations using nonprecious materials such as latex balloons, flour, pepper and marbles. She is represented by Core Gallery in Denver, Colorado. Putnam has a Masters of Fine Art degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a Masters of Art degree in Art History from Ohio State University and a Bachelors of Art degree in Communication from Purdue University.
