Introduction	It is 1987 and I am 5 years old, my favourite place is my local library which is dark and mysterious and has very high ceilings and shelves so tall even the adults need a ladder to reach the top. In the certre of the room the librarian sits inside a square wooden counter and when I look up I can just about see her face. I think she is the luckiest woman in the world. The books I read have a lot of pictures and mostly involve a boy and girl learning about something or other. It is in one of these books that I learn if you have lost your diamond ring it is most likely because a magpie has stolen it and placed it in his nest with your neighbours jewellery. I have a doll called Pinky (pinky because her nose and hair are pink) who mostly likes to sleep and does not like to be disturbed when she is naping. My cowboys and indians do not fight with eachother instead they take care of their farm animals.
