My husband and I founded The Orion School in 2006 and continue to donate both our time and resources to ensure that The Orion School is there to nurture, celebrate and affect the best outcome possible for all learners who have neurobehavioral conditions. The posts are intended to give my unique perspective culled from this ongoing experience. As a community volunteer, my goal is to give parents the kind of candid information they are unlikely to hear from anyone else! Hopefully this will impact more informed and less emotional educational decisions for complex children. I claim no specific expertise other than a broad educational background and the experience and perspective gained from years spent creating and operating a special education school that offers an education oasis where struggling learners can become lifetime learners. |
