| Introduction | Prior to teaching at The Elmore School, I taught Kindergarten for 12 years and was I was an early educator for Head Start, the Lamoille Family Center, and was self employed as a childcare provider. All in all, I have been teaching, in some capacity, for twenty six years. This is my fourth years a The Elmore School! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Johnson State College and earned my Masters degree in curriculum and instruction from UVM. I live with my husband, and our two Labrador Retrievers, and I'm the proud mother of two sons, now 24 and 27. In addition to teaching in a classroom, I am a certified Childlight Yoga teacher and certified Yoga 4 Classrooms Instructor and an Implement Yoga 4 Classrooms leader (which means I teach other teachers about Yoga 4 Classrooms). I have found yoga and mindfulness to be one of the most transformative practices in my career as well as my life. I practice mindfulness and Yoga techniques with my students to give them the tools to self regulate and learn to focus, so they can be their best! In my free time, I love to travel, and spend time at my family's summer home on Joe's Pond in Cabot, VT. |
