IntroductionBorn in 1952 in Texas; 2 weeks later got a little bored and tried New Mexico; have claimed dual citizenship ever since, with an occasional jaunt to Europe. After a starter marriage of 5 years (her fault, my fault, nobody's fault), met the real Love of my Life, who gave me everything, including three beautiful children; unfortunately, they wouldn't stay little and are now big people. As a reward for not killing them and eating them while young, they turned around and gave us beautiful grandchildren, whom also refuse to stay little. I am a Christian (as in "Follower of Jesus the Christ,") but I often masquerade as other things. One of my favorite films is the "Matrix" series, which best represents to me how we walk blindly through this world, unaware of the reality within us and without us, and the ways we manipulate/are manipulated. I am too often "asleep," just waiting to be "jump started" awake. I believe the only true "change" of anything at all must begin with me, and no one else. I must "flee" the Matrix!
InterestsPlaying my guitar; playing my drums; writing songs; reading just about anything; movies that don't insult my intelligence; my wife; my children; my grandchildren; trying to follow Jesus; riding my motorcycle; travelling to anywhere I've never been.
Favorite moviesThe Matrix trilogy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Searchers, The Godfather trilogy, anything by the Coen Brothers Alfred Hitchcock Akira Kurasawa and sometimes Steven Spielberg, Battlestar Galactica.
Favorite musicThe Beatles, Genesis, Justin Hayward, Hoyt Axton, Barry Gibb, Mark Knopfler, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Paul Simon, or my own stuff, (if it sounds "big headed" then go write something better; speaking of which, I also like several of my friends' musical endeavors, which sometimes actually ARE better than mine).
Favorite booksThe Bible, The Lord of the Rings, anything by Bernard Cornwell, anything by James Lee Burke, anything on the Civil War, and whatever else I may be reading at the moment.

You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?

This is one of the most stupid questions I've ever heard. Obviously, I have avoided this fame issue by NOT having written a hit musical.
