Introduction"If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth." -Holden Caulfield, the Catcher in the Rye

Favorite booksCurrently reading: War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy AHWOSG by Dave Eggers The Short Novels by Anton Chekov On Writing by Stephen King (And yes, I can read that many books concurrently and keep them all straight bc I am badass like that.) (I like to keep my literature endeavors varied so I often read more than one book at a time.) I am in love with Classic literature. Most contemporary publications are smutty, cheap trash and a detriment to the progress and well being of society--especially the popular-best seller types, they are like the "it" bag in fashion, you can't help but feel sorry for that person who owns the "it" bag bc you know they just dropped a ton of cash to look like a wanna be (it's a metaphor dammit) The ONLY living author I truly admire and appreciate is Cormac McCarthy. His stuff is beautiful. There are a few others I give credit to, but few. I love poetry by eecummings, Walt Whitman and Robert Frost. Philosophers fascinate me. I fall irrevocably in love with anything Bertrand Russell, Ovid, Stendhal, Soren Kierkegaard, Ayn Rand, (ect) write. Magazines: Allure, Print, Lucky, RealSimple, Vogue, Rolling Stones, Texas Monthly, Austin Monthly, Esquire, GQ, Wired.. and the blog: StuffWhitePeopleLike oh and I fn love anthologies.
