About me

Introduction Kevin Clemens works as the Energy and Transportation fellow at the Center for Global Environmental Education (CGEE) in the School of Education at Hamline University, helping director Tracy Fredin with CGEE’s sustainability, engineering and transportation initiatives. With BS and MS degrees in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and as a graduate of Hamline’s Master of Arts in Education in Natural Science and Environmental Education (MAEd:NSEE) program, Kevin has worked as a technical editor for Automobile magazine, authored ten books on alternative energy vehicles and electrical transportation, and set U.S. national and a world land speed record for electric motorcycles that he created for the Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Trials. Kevin loves green vehicles, especially those that go fast, and enjoys other challenging activities like running marathons and hiking with his wife.
