IntroductionI was diagnosed with Cushing's in December 2011. I have since then had a left adrenalectomy to remove a 2.6cm benign tumor. I am currently tapering corticosteroids and will need to test my right adrenal function down the road. Last time my cortisol levels were checked, they were plateauing at a low 6. I have been experiencing constant nausea ever since surgery. It may be caused by a damaged liver, gallbladder, or stomach. Seems like it's an indirect cause of having this disease. I have lost 20lbs, but can barely eat even with medicine. I no longer have high blood pressure and have regained massive emotional relief/mental capacities. I am still relatively weak and my muscles ache in a way I can't fully explain- I have only been able to walk and bike short distances so far. I can sleep a lot better. I am also lucky to be keeping my parent's health insurance temporarily due to this "disability". I would not be able to even see the endocrinologist come my 26th birthday w/o it. I've also turned to alternative medicine for help. I take many vitamins and supplements to try to get the right nutrients in my body.I often fear I will never be right again.
