| Introduction | the art of tile setting was the first trade that I picked up. I learned from Cornelius Tammariss, an 80 year old dutchman. I was his chief grunt and mud mixer,i.e., carry boxes of tile,wall board,thin set etc. some times up three flights of stairs. this was in lower westchester co., n.y.-Bedford, Rye, Larchmont etc. After months of hauling materials, I was allowed to grout, then set tile. One thing lead to another and now I do general contracting in the finger lake region of n.y.-- I also play Rag Time Mandolin-- |
