Introduction	Tom Field is a writer, creative director, and marketing veteren of 30+ years. He has directed programs for numerous Fortune 500 corporations as well as small businesses in communications, high-tech, manufacturing, transportation, education, engineering, and retail industries throughout the U.S. He began his own consulting and marketing firm in 1993, located in Salem, Virginia. He has served as principle contract writer for numerous organizations, published trade periodicals, websites, catalogs, print and multimedia advertising, and authored hundreds of columns, articles, and documents for businesses globally. Most recently, he managed the Blue Ridge Business Journal to its most profitable position in its 20-year history, before starting his newest publication, Valley Business FRONT in October 2008.
