| Introduction | First a High School Teacher Then a Naturopath... Now a Writer? "I've never really done much writing," confesses Dr. Mauro. "So, last year, I hired a coach, started studying and deleted the 'I'm a horrible writer' affirmation out of my head, and just went for it." Karlo Mauro, is no stranger to just going for it... He currently ranks as a 3rd degree black belt in the gentle martial art of Aikido. Aikido sparked his interest in natural health. This led to an experience which left him convinced his calling was to serve as a naturopathic doctor (depsite the fact he had just completed a Masters in Education). Amidst protests from family and friends, Dr. Mauro abandoned his teaching career, entered Naturopathic College, emerging four years later an ND. |
