| Introduction | Mrs. Ohly-Davis started teaching Orchestra and Music Technology at Northview Middle School in 2003. Previously, she taught Orchestra in Greeley, CO, and also maintained a private lesson studio. Currently, she plays in the viola section with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and performs in assorted recital settings. She also plays a rare instrument called the viola d'amore. She studied violin at Baldwin-Wallace College with Gary Kosloski and viola, Suzuki pedagogy, and music education at the University of Colorado in Boulder with Erika Eckert, William Starr and James Austin, respectively. She is married and has a Rottweiler named Loki, a Great Pyrenees guard dog named Tenny, and five Suri alpacas named Bella, Greta, Moonstar, and Darkstar. Bella just had a cria (baby alpaca) on 7/15/12 that we named Cassidy. So cute! In her free time, Mrs. Ohly-Davis enjoys playing music, hiking/camping/backpacking, distance biking, gardening, reading, and knitting. Her favorite food is chocolate. She ESPECIALLY enjoys working with the awesome students at Northview! |
