Introduction I always seem to find creatures wherever I go— bugs, amphibians, reptiles, all sorts of animals & creepy crawlies! I can stroll through a small local park & with minimal effort discover 5 types of salamanders & 2 types of snakes! I can be at a diner & in the run off stream besides the parking lot I can identify 3 species of fish & 2 species of frogs! In Central Park in Manhattan I observed aquatic turtles. By a drainage ditch near a pizzeria in NJ I discovered Green Frogs! On the walls of an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale I observed brown anoles! I was once visiting some friends in a highly developed section of suburban Massachusetts who assured me that their perfectly manicured grounds harbored no wildlife whatsoever! Yet beneath a forgotten pool liner under their back porch I discovered 2 beautiful marbled salamanders. This is what my blog is all about. It’s a collection of my nature discoveries whether made on planned wilderness excursions or just while wondering around here & there. Welcome to Kieran’s Critters!
