Introduction Up until a few months ago, I had been a homeschooler for 5 years....now, my kiddies are in the system, and I am too! I work in the non-profit, cultural/community education outreach field....and LOOOOOOVE IT! I also am a student intern at the public library...where I get to do more stuff I love...graphic design and community activity promotions. The only other job I would want to have would to be a lead Fiskateer (but we will see about that in a few years ;)) I hold degrees in Design & Dressmaking, and New Media Arts (web & graphic design). I am currently back in school to get my Bachelors of English, then my Masters in Publishing. I <3 books! I write...mostly non-fiction educational articles, but I have a few children's stories in the works as well!
Interests Scrapbooking, quilting, sewing, crafting, non-profit sector, culture, education
Favorite Movies Becoming Jane, Pride & Prejudice, 300, Braveheart, Green Street Hooligans, anything Hitchcock, anything and everything Tim Burton (Sweeny Todd is a masterpiece!)
Favorite Music Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, Stray Cats, Rocket 88, Johnny Cash, Reverend Horton Heat, Speed Crazy, Green Day (I remember when they were "local"...playing in basements and hanging out!) and on and on and on
Favorite Books OHHH, this space is just not big enough to list them all! The last book I read (for personal enjoyment) was the 2007 Newbery winner The Higher Power of Lucky. It took me a few chapters to get into, but I really enjoyed it by the end.
