| Introduction | Leslie has been a licensed marriage and family therapist for over 20 years. Her focus is on pre- and post-natal psychology, which emphasizes support of parents and children from birth to adulthood. She received her certificate as a Primal Therapist from Doctor Arthur Janov in 1994. She currently provides support and counseling through the Adoption Healing Alliance, where she employs a process of deep emotional release work based on primal therapy, sound healing and cellular release. She is the co-founder of At Home Family Coaching, addressing the issues of post-partum depression in families. She has worked with at-risk children in residential settings, many of whom are adopted. Leslie has served children at the local school district dealing with both foster and adopted children. Leslie is deeply committed to working with all people touched by the issues associated with the separation created by adoption, and healing any wounds carried into their present life. Additionally, Leslie provides support services to children and families with disabilities through Mountain Special Needs. |
| Interests | Leslie has been a horsewoman for her entire life and currently is certified in EAGALA, Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association in which she practices Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. EAP addresses the lifelong effects of primal wounds and other associated post traumatic issues related to the separation created by adoption. (Among other human behavior concerns) Leslie’s own childhood experience and scholarly interest validates the profound healing essence of animals in relation to human angst. |
