| Introduction | Director at Quiip.com.au - an Australian-based social media moderation service. I am a member of the Australian Community Managers' Google/FB group and convenor of our quarterly roundtables. From long-term 10-year-old online communities (Essential Baby) to seasonal (Big Brother) to community building for start-ups (MyTalk, OurPatch, YouPlay), my experience with online communities is diverse. I was recently employed by Fairfax Digital as Community Manager for Essential Baby, overseeing 180K members and a team of 30 Moderators. I am still actively involved in the Mod team. I am nerdily passionate about online communities, user-generated content, the real-time and social web. But rest assured I don't claim to be a "social media guru". |
