| Introduction | Dr. Achal Agrawal has advanced training in proctology laparoscopic and gastroenterological surgery, with a focus on gastrointestinal surgery. Now, he leads the Indore Laparoscopy Center as its director. After completing post-graduate training in general surgery with honors and a Gold Medal and shadowing other pioneers in the area, he decided to focus on limited-access surgery. His training in both fundamental and advanced laparoscopy was extensive under Dr. Pankaj Khandelwal's tutelage (a renowned and pioneer Laparoscopic, GI surgeon at Baroda, Gujarat). After mastering both basic and advanced laparoscopy techniques, he pursued a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Surgical Gastroenterology at Kaizen Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under the tutelage of Dr. Sanjeev Haribhakti. There, he learned the ins and outs of sophisticated laparoscopic and open gastrointestinal surgeries such as laparoscopic esophagogastric bypass, hepatopancreatic biliary, and colorectal procedures, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. |
