| Introduction | These are stories from my life, a life under construction. This blog started out as a place for me to explore my experiences as I unraveled my life and embarked upon what would be my eventual divorce. However, instead of a journal-like quality, I wanted my writing to be more focused and intentional. Everything in my life at that time seemed chaotic and overwhelming. I needed a place to explore what I was feeling, processing the emotions in a way that gave me more stability. So instead of a blog, these entries became essays, pulling one idea and marrying it to another, weaving and informing my life. As you read, please give me some liberties: Forgive the one-sided view. These are stories based on my small view of the world. I try to reference outside data when I use it, but I am not making any representations as to the accuracy or the source of the information. I often remove names altogether, as well as other identifying characteristics, to protect other people in the stories. As such, occasionally I have taken some creative liberties. About Me: 40-something mother, daughter, girlfriend, friend, broker, West Coaster, tennis player, writer. Everything else is in these essays. |
