| Introduction | I live in a tiny speck of a town in Vermont. No, that is not a part of Canada, It is an actual state. I have been knitting for years. I was taught the garter stitch by my aunt. For about six years I churned out about 30 scarves. I never learned anything more. Recently I went through depression, and a compulsive paint by number stage. Don't laugh at me, it was soothing. After I got bored of that, I embarked on my quest to master knitting. I taught myself many new stitches, increases, decreases, and so on through books, blogs, and youtube videos. Every new skill learned was a triumph, as you probably all know if you knit. I have been knitting for hours every day, and am very proud of how much I have improved. Knitting has helped my depression more than anything else, and I love it for that. Other than knitting,I am 19 years old, and I spend most of my time studying musicals, taking a couple college courses, and participating in community theatre.
