| Introduction | I grew up in the U.S., born in Kansas but raised mostly in Washington except for four years in Texas. I've lived overseas since 1993. I still get back to visit though, at least once a year for a few weeks at a stretch. I should probably have written several books by now, but I still haven't gotten around to it. |

| Favorite music | I think the Mills Brothers are about the best that ever was. But I'm also a Jewel fan. |
| Favorite books | "Barock Trilogy". I've almost finished "Quicksilver" and I've already bought "The Confusion". Looking forward to the "System of the World". |
