| Introduction | We are a couple of Queenslanders who wanted the good life. I have a City upbringing and John has a Rural upbringing. We have lived in a lot of different places during our married life, all in Queensland. I fell in love with Tasmania in the late 1970’s and introduced Tassie to John a few years ago. When we were thinking of living somewhere else again we looked on the Mainland first but couldn’t find anything we thought that compared to Tasmania. We had a few boxes to tick and Tassie had them all covered. Our idea was to own a farm where we could be reasonably self-sufficient and it also had to have good soil and a good water supply. We found that plus the bonus of absolutely beautiful views to wake up to every morning. It will take time to get things going and growing and to build up our breeding stock.
