| Introduction | Paula S. Forte grew up just outside of Philadelphia. At 18 she ran off to start college on the West Coast. She moved to Texas where she finished undergraduate nursing before going to Indiana where she completed her MSN and PhD at Indiana University. Her professional experience includes women’s and children’s health, nursing administration and nursing education. She came to Minnesota to work in healthcare consulting. Paula spent nine years on the road and in the air providing training and inspiration to hospitals and healthcare organizations nationwide. Remarried now, she lives and works in the Twin Cities where she writes and enjoys a career in nursing administration and teaches online for Walden University.
