| Introduction | I was born and raised in North Georgia, a true southern girl. I am married to an amazing man and the mother to our miracle baby boy. I strive to have zero regrets, and love giving and helping others. I started blogging for three reasons. First, was to heal from trauma in my past. I began therapy, and discovered that narrative therapy was a huge help in my healing process.Second, was to share my story. Several years ago, I found myself in an unhealthy relationship and marriage. Once past that marriage, I pushed the bad “stuff” far away from my mind. One day, hidden memories started to surface. It was then that I began dissecting my past. During therapy, I uncovered forgotten abuse, and learned that I had PTSD. Lastly, to open eyes and minds about the many forms abuse, domestic violence, and the daze and confusion of PTSD. It is easy to turn a blind eye on certain situations, to assume that nothing is wrong, but often times these “situations” are signs that life behind closed doors might be painful and unhealthy. My wishes are that by reading my words, others will see these clues or signs, and make a stand against negative, painful, and frightening abuse. |
