| Introduction | My grandmother, Willa (Sale) Gilbert was one of four American granddaughters of James Walton and Sarah Favel Atkin. I am the second child of Jack and Lavinia Gilbert's four children. I was born 3 months after the end of WWII and designated the "family historian" by to my parents who left me the ephemera including Granwilla's memoirs and photos of James and Sarah's family. I enjoy the role. This blog is for all the Walton/Atkins descendants. Some of us have kept in touch, passing on the family connections from England, Australia, and North America since 1874.
