| Introduction | I really enjoy working as a home-based educator. I am able to create a positive, safe, nurturing, learning environment for children, and I love interacting with children and supporting them as they learn and grow. In my work I have learnt that children learn through play and I base my home based curriculum on children’s interests. My passion is to teach young children. One of the highlights of my days at work is to see the children’s eyes light up when they learn or try something new. This gives me great satisfaction to see the progress that the children are making on their journey of learning. I aim to create a sense of belonging and to provide for the children’s wellbeing. I enjoy going on courses out in the community to help in my journey of teaching. At the moment I am doing a Te Wheke course which is very interesting and learning so much...I love to read blogs and read book to help me in my journey of learning to be a teacher and love learning thou my children magic eyes! :-) |
