| Introduction | I came from a lighthouse family; my grandfather, a great uncle, and two uncles were all lighthouse keepers in Long Island Sound. A farm girl at heart, who loves nature, I always had a yen for travel, so following college in CT, I headed for Seattle where I taught deaf children after receiving my MA in Special Education at Columbia University. I later joined the Department of Defense Schools and taught in Goose Bay, Labrador; Bamberg, Germany, and Canal Zone, Panama where I became an E.S. principal. I've always enjoyed painting and writing. My writing as a pantser (writing by the seat of my pants) depends on which muse is visiting - so I write in a variety of genres. |
