About me

Industry Museums or Libraries
Occupation Young Adult Services Associate
Location Manitowoc, Wisconsin, United States
Introduction I am the Young Adult Services Associate at the Manitowoc Public Library, which means I have a lot of fun planning and organizing the teen programs at the Manitowoc Public Library. I graduated from Lakeland College with a Bachelors in Business Education. I am currently attending UW-Milwaukee for my Masters in Library and Information Studies.
Interests I love books. I love to read about anything and everything. Within fiction, I read every type of genre except mystery. Mystery doesn't seem to capture my attention. Anyone with a phenomenal mystery book, suggest it to me - maybe I'll be converted! Although I mainly stick to fiction, I also read the occasional non-fiction. Aside from reading, I also try to be active outside: reading, tennis, running, chasing my nieces and nephews on the playground, walks, etc. Like my reading, I am eclectic in almost everything I do.
Favorite Movies I am also a movie fanatic. I don't watch a lot of television, but I watch a lot of movies. Just like books I can't narrow this down to any one favorite. Here are some of my top picks: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Johnny Depp version although older version is good too), Tangeled, Unstoppable, The Hangover, Morning Glory, Beauty and the Beast (Disney version), pratically all Disney movies, Burlesque, Sound of Music, Zombieland, shall I go on? I could continue on for a long time:)
Favorite Music The music I generally listen to is Pop with a smattering of good Country music. I don't have any particularly favorite artists, but I will listen to practically anything except death metal.
Favorite Books They don't give me enough space to list all of my favorite books! Even as a child, I can't say I had only one favorite book. One book that has always stood out a little is Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. I have read this book at least 15 different times. I love it! Some of the other good books I have read recently include: Matched by Ally Condie, Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi, Beastly by Alex Flinn and The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade - Read the blog for all of my book recommendations.
