| Introduction | I have worked in the world of large-scale land use planning and design for public and private gardens for more than 30 years. For five years I wrote a weekly gardening column for a New York City daily newspaper. Deeply concerned with public access to parkland, I currently serve on the board of New Yorkers for Parks, a city-wide planning and advocacy organization fighting for cleaner, greener, safer parks for all New Yorkers. Although I live in Manhattan, I garden in Dutchess County. |
