| Introduction | A native of Grayson County, Texas, Randy Boone grew up in Dallas. He graduated from Abilene Christian University and Vanderbilt University, where his Ph.D. dissertation explored interrelationships among Arthur Stanley, John Tulloch, A.K.H. Boyd and other representatives of nineteenth-century broad church liberalism in the established churches of England and Scotland. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he has worked as a philanthropy officer since 2001. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. |
