Introduction | Sixth-generation born and bred Appalachian, originally from the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Descendant of Massachusetts Bay colonists on my dad’s side and Long Island/Monmouth NJ colonists on my mother’s; trying to de-colonize my mind as best I can while yet occupying Turtle Island. Though I started off in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, I am now in the Rocky Mountains where I reside in a small agricultural village with my husband Wes, my best friend James, and my 17-year old Jack Russell Terrier named Flapjack. When not at work, I am usually watching horror movies, film noir, or documentaries; sleeping, practicing mountain dulcimer or hand drumming; or meditating. Innately spiritual, best described as: existing somewhere within a triangle that has Anglicanism (Episcopalian), Buddhism, and Paganism at its three points. Also, I am neurodivergent, of the type that used to be called Asperger’s Syndrome though you might not recognize it because I am so good at masking it! |

You moved the pot before the coffee stopped brewing. Do you smell the mountains or the burro?
The mountains. Always.
