| Introduction | The current, prevalent edition of the Qurān [putative report of Ḥfṣ (حفص)] consists of 114 divisions, 6236 passages, 77797 words, 330709 letters — roughly estimated to contain 14870 words without repetition. One count/study [by quran.com] suggests a total of 12183 stems, 3382 lemmas, and 1685 roots. Accordingly, this humble project will, G-D willing, be exclusively dedicated to scrutinizing the precise, intended meaning/s of each and every distinctive locution in the Qurān. The end goal being to develop a more coherent understanding of the qurānic vocabulary through the lens of the textus receptus itself (Sola Scriptura). That said, the content of this journal is intended for informational purposes only & shouldn't therefore be considered binding, infallible, or up to date ... as it is not the last definitive word on the subject, but simply an essay (directed at the cosmopolitan community of objectivists that gathers around the Qurān in the conviction it is a divinely-inspired memorandum). This work of evaluation is not of any one person [or sect for that matter] any Adamite with valid data to contribute is invited to do so ~ by writing to the following email: Quranist@muslim.com |
