| Introduction | Born and raised in western Kentucky, I received my initial spiritual upbringing in the Oneness Apostolic tradition. After coming out as a gay man at age 18, I left church altogether, and did not return until I began attending Resurrection MCC in Houston, Texas in 1981. Through a series of job-related moves, I eventually landed in Atlanta, Georgia, and First MCC in 1996. I answered God's call to ordained ministry in 1999, received my clergy training at All Saint's MCC in Atlanta, was ordained November 2001, and was elected by the congregation of MCC of Corpus Christi to be their Pastor in December 2001. My life and ministry continue to change and evolve, as I completed my Master's of Divinity degree in May 2005, and I am now enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I look forward to all that God has for me to do as I continue to strive to serve God by serving others. |
