| Introduction | I'm really not the sum of my story. Neither am I the total of my biographical statistics. My identity is all wrapped up in who God says I am, which is perfectly cool and quite a relief. But my story and statistics are most likely what a person would be looking for, so here it is: I'm a single mom of five kids, ages 21 to 6; the youngest two are adopted from South Korea and utterly adorable. I'm a full-time student, hoping to work as a PT assistant in about 15 months and be able to pay my way in the world. I spent the first half of my adult life as a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom who didn't get out much, but loved it anyway. And because my mom taught me that if you "can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all," I will remain silent on some things. Beyond that, my life has taken a completely different turn than I ever imagined, and with the exception of a few unanswered questions, I'm ok with it. Even, maybe, happy with it. I wish I could see around the corner and know what's coming. But I can't, so I'm holding tight and saying "yes" to the adventure. |
