| Introduction | Butcher, baker, candlestick maker. Well, two out of three not bad. I once worked with a great Australian butcher but have no desire to pursue that advocation, so I will replace that one with Peace Corps Volunteer. When I first applied to the PC, a friend excitedly asked if I was going to blog my experience. It went from 'maybe I will' to 'that might be fun' to 'here we are'. As part of the over 50 crowd, I am one of approximately 5% of PC volunteers and am both honored and humbled by that. Born and educated in Michigan my midwest values carried me through my adult life in San Francisco and Santa Rosa, California and now in retirement in the Vegas desert. All building blocks to this new adventure which I want to share with family and friends - old and new. Thanks for joining me in Tonga. |
