Introduction In my early years, I was a very picky eater and the only dishes I ever wanted to eat were made of chicken, fish & eggs. Marrying into a Maharashtrian vegetarian family, moving to USA and learning to cook from scratch changed everything for me. My husband introduced me to the world of olive oil, brown rice and fresh organic vegetables. It was then that I realised that healthy food need not be bland and boring and can be tasty and colorful. Now I always cook with whole grains and fresh vegetables and have almost eliminated consumption of processed foods. We have stopped eating all things that contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Of course, I do cheat a little sometimes, specially when I make sweets which require refined white sugar, but such occasions are very few and far between. This blog compiles a list of all the dishes that I have cooked after taking inputs from my mother's cooking and from various sites on the internet.
