| Introduction | I am a new mum, and newly diagnosed Hashimoto's sufferer. The typial sufferer of thyroid disorders is seen as being elderly, fat and glandular.There's a large amount of us coping with this in our thirties, or post baby, and I want to meet some of them! Finding very little support ,I've decided to catalogue my experiences in the hope it will a) make me feel better and b) maybe make someone else feel better. Thyroid disease is insidous, debilitating, and all too often misdiagnosed and ill supported. So this is for me and all the other (mainly) ladies, but a few men, out there who'd like to find out more, realise they're not alone, and just share experiences. I have a 9 month old son, and hope for another baby before i'm too old and ill, so you'll be hearing about that too. Thyroid and fertility don't go, so it'll be interesting. |
