About me

Industry Arts
Location Bewdley
Introduction I was born in 1980, and after a wonderful childhood in Wales, now live by the River Severn with my wife and young daughter. I have been watching and drawing birds for most of my life, and freely admit to being ‘a bit obsessed’. I studied Animation at university, but am almost entirely self-taught when it comes to drawing and painting, having received little formal training. My favoured medium is pencil; I occasionally dabble in oils. I use a Nikon camera and lenses for all my photography. I was delighted to win a Silver Citation at the 2011 ‘Wildlife Art Society International’ exhibition (for Arctic Wanderer), my entry into the 2011 David Shepherd ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition reached the final round of judging (Corvus Corax) and my picture 'Lookout' was Highly Commended in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2012.
