| Introduction | My name is Mariam, which means rebellious. I am born on the 27th September 1991, which makes me 18 years young, not old. I’m half Bahraini and half German. I used to think that I am 50% Arab and 50% German, but actually I’m a 200%, 100% Arab and 100% German. The Arabic part is more dominant since I lived in an Arabic country. I am a proud Muslim too. Being Muslim, Arab and German is the foundation that forms Mariam to be me. I speak three languages, Arabic, German and English, which I consider my assets that are very important to me. I was born and raised in Bahrain, where I lived until recently. But I still have a connection to Germany since I visit my family there twice a year. But just recently I moved to England where I go to university. Right now I’m doing the foundation year and after that I’m going to study Accounting and Financial Management. |
