Introduction	I started my study of food as medicine based on my own compulsive need to stay healthy. Okay I admit it: I am a germaphobe and hate to be sick. When my daughter was born I obsessively researched how to feed her to keep her immunity as high as possible. At the same time, I am a working mom, running my own acupuncture practice. I need to be economical, practical, quick and easy; yet not compromise my family's nutritional integrity.
