| Introduction | Started mixing Front of house in 1974 with an 8 channel mixer doing a trial band for a record deal. 4-Track was still accepted as a high end demo room. Been singing since I was 5 Playing accordion since 10. Picked up the guitar at 11, been a steady stream since. Been playing country since 1980, singing lead and harmony as the song required. I play the piano with the guitar slung on my shoulder..I have a Sweet collection of old mics including Altec M50 condensers & a set of dynamics and an RCA77DX. New stuff includes Rode Nt1 and a pile other large and small jobbers. Mixers are a PAIR of Soundcraft Spirit Rac-Pacs running outboard to a wonderful old British Audio Developments 16x4 hand built discrete in 1973 and delivered to Clair Brothers for Elvis, the Who, Pink Floyd,a ending up with Queen where it was decided she was too small for today's needs. MY GAIN. THIER LOSS.! It just blows the new stuff away.The engineers that developed her reads like a list of who's who of audio. I'm not stuck in the past , my last 5 purchases have been digital hardware or software or the new computer. The Best I've Found Is a good amount of both at the right time! |
