| Introduction | I am a sociologist. That means I am always looking for who or what is behind an event, social change, or political outcome. I study families, focusing specifically on how family members divide housework, as well as, sexual frequency and relationship quality among married and cohabiting couples. In my spare time I critically evaluate American life and the recent changes we've experienced. These include increased consumerism, the frenetic pace of life, the child-centered nature of American society, and the role that gender, race, and social class play in these changes. |
