| Introduction | Since this blog is an outlet for my musings on politics, current events, and modern culture I thought I would share a little about my background. First, let me confess that I am a recovering Liberal Democrat. I grew up outside of Flint, Michigan which is a deeply Democrat and pro-union area. I also voted for Jimmy Carter in my first Presidential election. I’ve been there – done that, and Winston Churchill kind of summarizes my perspective with his famous quote "Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains." I am also an avid reader of non-fiction books about history, economics, politics, and my great love is creating, collecting, and living surrounded by Art. |
