Introduction | There are so many hidden stories and lessons to be learnt from examining the history of science, medicine, and technology. From examining the efficacy of communicating information to the social reception of medical trials to the social construction of disease, history can carry us through the medical revolutions that are coming with the advent of gene therapy and artificial organ growth. I hope to find historic parallels that keep the past fresh and allow people to relate to topics otherwise dismissed as obscure. I like cricket, tea, and scones with jam. |
