About me

Location south-central Indiana, United States
Introduction I live with my woodsman husband in south-central Indiana, where the first wave of hills flows out of the flatlands. I am the grateful recipient of a 2017 National Endowment of the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship in poetry, a writer’s residency at Ox-Box School of the Arts, and a scholarship from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. My work has been selected as the winner of the 2019 Poetry Society of America Robert H. Winner Award and featured in Poetry Daily, Verse Daily, and Indiana Humanities. My first book Light into Bodies won the 2016 Tampa Review Prize for Poetry (University of Tampa Press, 2017). You’ll find my recent and forthcoming work in Tar River Poetry, Smartish Pace, The Adroit Journal, The Southern Review, Ninth Letter, Zone 3, Alaska Quarterly Review, Pleiades, and elsewhere.
