Introduction In 1957 Miller left L.A. and gigs at Red Feather, the Digger & Purple Onion to perform 6 years in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium including major jazz festivals; Paris at main venues and as soloist with Jef Gilson; in Italy with Tony Scott; later in Tehran 7 years with a prime time TV show. He was booked at the original Woodstock Festival and Philadelphia Folk Festival, won trophies three consecutive years at Intercollegiate Jazz Festivals in the 60s and national winner of Sounds of Young America. Premiers include Utah Symphony, Colorado Springs Symphony, Salt Lake Symphony and Tehran NIRT Chamber Orchestra. In Utah, he taught jazz and ethnic music at U of U and BYU. His PhD dissertation Music and Song in Persia was published by Curzon as and he plays over 100 instruments from 15 musical traditions. He studied at University of Geneva and in Paris at Ecole Nationale des Langues Orientales Vivantes and the Sorbonne. Miller has published 20 books, hundreds of articles and 25 CD/DVDs. His famous Oriental Jazz 1960s LP is now on CD Baby and a book about his adventures in the Middle East, Europe and America called Sufi, Saint and Swinger posted online on jazzscope.com.

Favorite Movies all Bible films and other films about ancient culture except those which are incorrect and glorify Greece and rome rather than ancient Persia and ancient Israel which were God's realms.
Favorite Music Almost any and all authentic old traditional music of world cultures without any electronics or corruption from contemporary junk noise.
Favorite Books Religious texts of world religions and books about them including books about the impending destruction and eventual improvement of the world.
