Favorite movies	Where do I start? Coming to America, The Notebook, The Breakfast Club, Center Stage, Hairspray, Fun with Dick and Jane, Cabin in the Sky, Mildred Pierce, Carmen Jones, Love and Basketball, Something New, Forrest Gump...I think I'll leave it at that.
Favorite music	I try not to discriminate. I particularly like R&B oldies, Neo-Soul, and just about any artist who goes against the grain.
Favorite books	I mainly read works of African-American fiction (Omar Tyree, E. Lynn Harris, Zane, Kimberla Lawson-Roby etc.). The Measure of Our Days by William F. Winter, Savage Inequalities, Cult of Power and Your Money and Your Life by Martha Burk, All of Me by Venise Berry, Don't Make a Black Woman Take of Her Earrings by Tyler Perry (as Madea),etc. I'm a grad student. Reading is my life.
