| Introduction | I am the director of the Adams Elementary School Preschool. Professionally, I have a BS degree in Child Development and a MA in Human Development and Family Studies. I have 20+ years of teaching experience ranging from teaching preschool to teaching music at the elementary school level. Currently, I train and mentor interns from BYU-Idaho who work along side me in the classroom. I also teach Child Development, Infants &Toddlers, and Parenting Skills at BYU-Idaho in the Home and Family department. I have participated in speaking engagments at BYU-Idaho and sat on various BYU-I panels, educating students on the value of early childhood programs. I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and I am very active in keeping myself educated in my field. Personally, I've been married for 25 years and I have 5 children who are growing up way too fast! I enjoy traveling, reading, writing children's books, snow skiing, walking/exercising and hanging out with my kids, who, by the way, wish they were still in preschool! |
